Cruise offered was back to back through Panama Canal and on to Alaska. Two ports were cancelled (were not told why) so assume that is why we arrived in LA at 12 midnight and could not get off ship until the following morning after 7 am - as ship was leaving at 2 pm in afternoon - there was no time to travel into the city and return in time to board ship. The customs took so long that we finally got on the dock too late to go sightseeing. The same really short dock time happened in British Colombia - no time to sightsee. All other ports were good - and we did a lot of sightseeing.

Our cabin was the smallest compared to other cruise lines. We booked a double and had to be satisfied with a 3 berth, with the bunk on the wall. Customer relations all through the cruise offered no help. The food was average, especially as we were on the ship for 4 weeks, it did not change much. The entertainment was nothing to talk about either.

The cabin stewards and dining room staff were terrific - we only have a complaint with the higher up staff. I have just re-read this review, and we are not 'whingers' and we never do this - we have cruised on over 14 different ships'- but this one was soo disappointing to the point that it will have to be a really cheap cruise to sail with Norwegian again, especially on the Pearl.

really small and tight. Bunk bed on wall took up space and queen bed had to be separated into singles to allow access beds
