We had planned this Family Trip for 2 years. New York for 3 days playing tourists and then board the brand new ship, the Carnival Horizon, for an 8 day cruise to the Caribbean. We are all Platinum Members and were really looking forward to the Horizon and all the new EVERYTHING! NEW YORK WAS AMAZING AND VISITING THE CITY REALLY MADE MY TRIP!

The Horizon was just an ordinary ship. Nothing to WOW over. Food was fair at best. Limited selections. Cucina Del Capitano and the Steakhouse were just okay. That was a bummer....Elevators were a mess. This ship was the dirtiest ship we had ever been on, which is not to say everyone wasn't working hard. It appeared they were severely understaffed. Cruise Director did not seem at home but did his best. I am already booked on 2 more Carnival Cruises so it wasn't THAT bad. Just disappointing...
