Sail Date: Jun 2018

I never thought I would like cruising, and avoided it for years. Boy, was I wrong! I'm a convert!!!

We sailed on Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas in June of 2018. We are from Texas, and had been to Galveston before, so did not spend any time there -- just went straight to the ship. Embarkation was fine once we got past security. There was a long line for security, and it was hot outside. It moved quickly, however. Once onboard, we felt relaxed and at home almost immediately. I saw two dolphins within our first few minutes in our cabin (while docked in Galveston), and another when we docked again on our return.

For medical reasons, I can't eat any gluten or cow's milk dairy. Our very first experience on board was at the Windjammer buffet. I was feeling a bit lost because the dishes were not marked as gluten or dairy free. I asked the folks behind the counter, and before I knew it, Chef Dedi came out and offered to custom cook me a nice lunch. It was beautifully plated and delicious. I knew from that point I would be well taken care of, and I was.

Cozumel

There is a lot to do in Cozumel. We went to Mr. Sancho's Beach Club, which I highly recommend. It is not an RCCL excursion. Check out TripAdvisor for more info on that.
