The destinations were great, more time at Messina and Crete would have made this portion of the trip outstanding (i.e. 10 to 12 hours at these ports would be ideal).
14 out of the 17 days we smelled sewage at various times on various decks while at sea, the other days were in ports.
Passenger should not see bubbled up paint or rust anywhere where passengers can access, especially near the Serenity and on the Promenade Decks. This Boat is only 13 Years old.
Experience the "ROCK". Beware of the vendors selling tours, you will see the location of where the 100 Ton gun used to be at Europa Point. The actual gun is out in the Bay, there may be an actual one at the military museum near the cable car. We took the bus from the Water Casements to Europa Point to see the Light House and 100 Ton Gun emplacement and back to Elliot's way to ride the Cable Car to the top of the Rock. We waited in line for about 30 minutes as we had not pre-purchased or tickets for the cable car and nature preserve. The only thing we didnot see in the nature preserve was St. Michael Cave. We Walked from the Top of the rock to the apes den, Seige tunnels, military museum, WWII Tunnels, Moorish Castle then back into town. The scenery was beautiful and the walk steep. Beware of the thorns on the trails and along the roads.
Get the Street map and toss the Nature Preserve one it's only representative and useless.
We spent 3 days in Barcelona before getting on our cruise. It was well worth it. Getting around Barcelona is not difficult and there is so much to see.
