We chose this cruise because of the itinerary which included Oslo. We flew into Copenhagen on June 1, arriving at 11:30am, and they were there waiting for us. Everything went very smoothly and quickly and the transfer gave us a chance to see a little bit of Copenhagen. We were very impressed with this ship and it was the perfect size. It never felt crowded, except at the breakfast buffet, and it was easy to find your way around. Usually we ate in the Horizon Court because we found the food to be very good. Only ate in the dining room two times because the service was too slow and we wanted to be able to go to the shows. The entertainment was excellent. Went to all the shows and enjoyed them very much. We tried to go at least 20 minutes early so we could be in the area we wanted. In Oslo we did the Best of Oslo tour. Our favorite parts were the Folk Museum and the Viking Ship museums. In Germany we did the Mecklenburg Countryside & Vintage Railway since we did not want to spend so much time on the train. Bad Doberan was exceptional. Had a great guide and would do this tour again. We did not book a Princess cruise in St. Petersburg because of the costs involved. Instead we booked the Grand Tour thru Alla Tours and it was great. Highly recommend Alla Tours to anyone and they provide the visa. They picked us up on time and were very conscientious of getting back to the ship on time. No worries. Fantastic guide and knowledge. Did the Vasa Museum & Time on your own in Stockholm. Don't miss the Vasa Museum. We took a ship transfer back to the airport for a flight in the afternoon. They gave us a time of 7:00 am to disembark but I was able to change it to 8:00 am at the shore excursion desk. It all went very smoothly. For this trip we only used credit cards, euros and US dollars. There was no need to get any of the local currency. The tours took us to places that had free rest rooms so did not have to pay for those. Also, be sure to take layers. It was 86 degrees in Oslo and 50 in St. Petersburg while we were there. This was the trip of a lifetime and I am so glad we chose the Regal Princess and the Baltic for this cruise. They made everything perfect and we enjoyed it very much. Even the horn plays the Love Boat theme and that makes everyone happy.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Balcony (obstructed view)
Cabin DW E519
We had booked a guaranteed DW deluxe balcony and received cabin E519. This cabin has an obstruction of the wenches between the life boat and the tender. However, it wasn't bad as we could see the water down below and everything straight out and to the sides. The balcony has two chairs and a table and we used it a few times. Just didn't have time with everything else to do. Adequate size room and plenty of storage space. Large TV with a lot of good movies and news channels. Good location and quiet. We would be happy with this cabin again.
