My mother decided to plan a cruise for my college graduation, and we thoroughly enjoyed harmony of the seas. We were in awe of the gigantic ship! We had an ocean view balcony on the 6th deck and it was well worth the money! We enjoyed having our morning coffee and complimentary breakfast delivered right to the stateroom on our balcony. The ship is very family friendly. We ate at the American Icon - My time dining almost every night. The food was good, but the service was spectacular! The waiters and assistant waiters are what made our dinner experience the best. We weren't big fans of the Solarium Bistro due to the food and service being poor. The Windjammer was really great for breakfast though! We also didn't do any excursions, but we still had an amazing time catching some rays! St. Maarten was beautiful, and it wasn't commercialized at all. For $25 you can get two chairs and a bucket of beer. Wouldn't recommend going too far into the city though.. it didn't seem safe. San Juan, Puerto Rico was pretty. We did a self tour around the city and it seemed very safe! We enjoyed the colorful buildings, old San Juan, and the overlook of the ocean. We weren't able to find the beach access area, but we also didn't have a lot of time to enjoy the beach. We recommend getting a pina colada at Barrachina--where they were invented. Our last port was at Labadee, Haiti. To our surprise, this was our favorite. Royal Caribbean owns this private island so it was very commercialized but locals weren't begging you for money. My only complaint is it was very crowded from everyone on the ship. The beach chairs and umbrellas are free! There's plenty to chose from on the ship for entertainment. Some of our favorites included: live music, 1887 ice skating shows, grease show, parades in the royal promenade, ice skating, zip lining, bingo, mini golf, the headliner show, and more! We recommend planning as much as you can and scheduling the shows online before you go. When you arrive on board, finish signing up for shows before they fill up. We ate dinner at 8 every night and watched a show at 10:30 PM. It worked out perfect!
