We chose this Ship because it was a 4 day cruise out of Port Canaveral to Cuba ... a place we wanted to visit, The free booze is enticing on the cruise, although limited to house call brands ... still a good deal if you like to drink. Evening entertainment in the auditorium was good, especially the comedian. Played in the casino, but usually lose to the house. Ate at the buffet, food okay, but nothing outstanding. Surprised you had to serve yourself on drinks or coffee. Had a great visit to Key West in the 6 hours we were allotted, Best way to see Key West in that time frame is to take the trolley train which allows you to hop on and hop off but takes you all around the island. One of the things we found annoying on board was lack of info from customer services .. heard one thing from one, a different story from another. Kind of hit or miss. All the staff was very friendly and smiling. Docked in Havana ,,, quick exit ...we planned a private tour for four of Havana through Cubaoutings.com. Highly recommend them. Met us promptly in front of Port terminal ... 4 hour walking tour of the city ... stopped for drinks ... stopped for lunch ... then we met a fully restored 1953 Chevy for a 2 hour tour of new Havana ... was incredible adventure. That evening we had booked an excursion off the ship for the historic Tropicana Night Club. Well worth it! Highly energized dancing, beautiful costumes and hot Latin music ... great show .. your provide a bottle of rum, cola, glasses nuts and chocolates and a cigar. Back on board for trip home, we went to Bingo ... a rip off ... cheapest pkg was $39 for a 9 card pkg, and in middle of games offered a $10 deal plus additional tix for cruise drawing. Second bingo caller was terrible .. tried to be cute in her terrible accent .. wouldn't waste money again. Evening entertainment was excellent ... and comedian at the "naughty" show was great. Docked on time ... very easy debarking. NCL lacks in communication to passengers ... we found food was average, even in dining rooms. Buffet offered same desserts daily with change in flavor only. Cookies were only offered if you asked.
