Alaska is known for its stunning beauty, and seeing it on a cruise is the way to go. I had a fabulous time on this cruise & would encourage everyone to see Alaska at some point, but I can honestly say I wouldn't recommend cruising with Princess.

PROS:

The food was amazing! Between the buffet, International Cafe, and the dining options I left almost every meal in a very satisfied food coma. As a pescatarian, there was no shortage of options for me.

Port Reviews

Haines

A very small, but cute, town. In fact, they informed us that there were more people on the ship than in the town! This led to some poor ship-city communication; the ferry took off at 10:45 with four passengers and we de-boarded at 10:50. It's too bad they didn't want to wait as we would have given them so much business!

We chose to rent bikes and that was the way to go; it allowed us to see all that Haines has to offer in an efficient way. We bought the 3 museum pass, enjoyed some lunch, and biked to a stunning hiking trail that led down to the water.
