Was so excited about this ship until we got we got on board. The elevator system was ok but not on embarkation day. I didn't see any advantage to having the buttons on the outside, not a big deal. Lack of staff around the entire ship..... public washrooms especially near the pool in the back were dirty every time i used them and never saw any staff maintaining them. The boutiques were filled with inaugural items, nothing exciting. Went looking for a sewing kit and was told by the staff at the front desk that there were none to be found....well we found them at the pixels boutique that sells photo products. Entertainment, lack of variety in terms of the main theatre, we are so used to seeing magicians, illusionists etc, none to be found. The casino was big and bright and full of smoke, every where was a smoking zone, and depending where you were playing you could freeze to death, didn't stop us from losing our money though...lol. Loved the new restaurant from Guy,`food was excellent. Chefs table was amazing, everyone needs to experience this and having it in its very own venue is fabulous, Chef and staff were awesome as was the food......our dining room staff Pande 1 and Pande 2 took such great care of us and the food was very good, served promptly and hot, not warm....we were only 4 at our table so that helps. We had an inside cabin 2236 and the designer of the cabin should be fired, so little storage space and a useless 4 tier shelving unit that would have been better if it had been drawers....will Carnival ever think of women when they design their shower stalls, add a 4 inch bar so those of us who need to shave are legs can use it to prompt our legs up just enough to make it easier, Celebrity has them, what are you waiting for. Yes there were a lot of kids and older people, but that's life and Carnival, if you can't handle either or both, change cruiseline....on the plus side, the gym isn't as full, but kids should not be allowed in the spas with floaties and no parents around. I am glad i got to see this ship but will not go back on it. We did miss a port of call but a human life is more important, to me that is, than a port of call. Carnival did make good on the 20 percent future cruise deal, we re booked, but should have offered OBC instead....
