All in all it was a great cruise. Embarkation was pretty organized and did not take too long. We got to the port around 11:30 and we were on board by about 12:45. Rooms were not available till about 2. Got our luggage by 3. Weather was ok but did not feel the warmth until Tuesday, plenty to keep you busy on board. Once in Puerto Vallarta, we found the same tour guide Raul, that we had the year before and asked him to give us the same tour cause we had a great time last year and wanted our kids to experience it too. He took us south to a Tequila factory, Juan our guide at the factory was hilarious! After a few shots of different kinds of tequila and tequila liquors we went for lunch at a place called Chico's. Excellent lunch, they had canopy lines and a great view of a stream in the forest. Then we had him take us to La Palapa Beach for an hour, had a swim, then to Walmart and back on the the ship. Next stop was Mazatlan, got a taxi into town, to the market, church etc. Then took another taxi to the Golden Zone, shopped and walked on the beach for a while went to lunch at Bar La Costa, had an excellent Seafood lunch then headed back to the Ship. Cabo San Lucas, a bit of a wait to get off the ship. Just went on shore, walked the boardwalk to the beach and had a swim. Had some lunch, did some shopping and back on the ship. Food on the ship was good. Room Stewards, Artamam and Tam were Great! Dining waiter Roland was also great! Service on the ship was good. Our only problem was the location of our room, we had and extended aft balcony cabin, which was great until it was time to go to sleep. We were situated above the Morocco Lounge's Stage. On the first night we were exhausted went to bed around 9:30 only to be awakened by the loud drum and bass sounds under our bed. I called down to the pursers desk and they said they would have them lower it. Nothing happened the band played on. I called 3 times and still nothing happened. I was pretty upset and disappointed that nothing was done. Same thing the next night, I called down to the pursers office again and they said there was nothing they could do there were no other cabins available to move us to and if someone got off in PV and they had a room available they would let us know. So Wednesday came I called down there and no available cabins. Thursday I went down to the pursers desk and finally they had a cabin available for us, so they gave us another cabin. Thought I would get a good nights sleep but unfortunately we got the noise from the casino lounge in that room. Really a poor design on the ship as far as that goes having cabins directly above the lounges, bars etc. The other problem was the smoking, could not even stay in the Casino the smoking was so bad. Other areas had bad smoking smells too, poor ventilation? Disembarkation was a nightmare!!!!! They really need to get a handle on it. We waited in line, elevator etc for 2 hours to get off. Long beach needs to do something about getting people off, maybe open some other means of exit. Other than the room problem it was a great cruise, the staff was really nice, and friendly. Ship was always very clean.

Cabin Review

Aft-View Extended Balcony

Cabin 8m

This cabin (6491) is directly above the stage in Morocco Lounge and the Cool Deck Bar, if you like to go to bed early do not get this room. The speakers to the Band are on the ceiling, so pretty much on your floor under your bed and when the band was playing or kareoki going on it got pretty loud in the room. The cabin next door also had the same problem. The music eventually ends around 12:30 then you can sleep.
