I was thrilled to have a new ship going out of nyc. This only requires a $30 r/t train rides for us from bucks county, pa. I previously enjoyed carnivals product & knew it would be a nice place to celebrate 40 years of marriage with our traveling companions. (DAUGHTER & BOYFRIEND)
Embarkation was the best ever! So efficient! This process has improved greatly across all lines but i have to say this was absolutely painless. 15" & we were onboard. Debarkation was almost as seamless, but getting a cab was a bit hairy.
I love the havana cabana cabin. It was nicely layed out & had plenty of storage. I read on here a trick i didn't think of, the magnets. They were wonderful to hang towels, suits etc. It's the best thing after the over the door clear shoe organizer for all the little stuff that would otherwise clutter the room. The havana cabana balcony was a new & inventive idea i wanted to try. I thought we'd spend a lot of time there but there was so much to do we just didn't utilize it as much as i wanted. On our cruise the private havana area was kind of crowded. I heard they opened up more cabins to be affiliated w/the havana area & i think this might have been a mistake. It was much better ratio though than the main pool. This always seemed crowed to me. The ship layout lacked the wow factor for me (us) but that of course is personal taste. It was new & clean w/many venues to explore. I also liked the bike over the ocean. It's easy to do even for a 57 year old chub.
Snorkeling on catamaran. People were funny, fun. Just wonderful! Lovely waters to see beautiful aquatic life!
