This was our first cruise on NCL. Our previous 3 cruises were with Celebrity in Aqua Class. My friends booked this cruise before we did, we booked a month after them. This was originally supposed to be an Eastern Carribean cruise and NCL changed it back in February.
We had an Aft balcony room. Room 12306. The balcony is HUGE. Our room was right next to our friends Haven suite. Wow, what a difference in rooms and food and everything. We did get to experience some of the Haven and that is the way to go if you want a more luxury experience( of course, you'll pay for it).
I'm a foodie and I'd read a review that said the food was really good. I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. The food was sub-par as member Stobsbroski stated. Breakfast was the same each day. Nothing new. The breakfast was the same in O'Sheehan's, just plated up for you. I did not have a breakfast in Savor/Taste or Tropicana but I imagine its the same. I did have breakfast on our final day in Haven with my friends. Wowzer what a difference. In Haven, they get berries( strawberries, blueberries and raspberries) and smoked salmon. All the melon was also cut up in small chunks. They had yogurt parfaits and nicer pastries. Even the grits were better. We had one dinner in Haven and it was much, much better. I literally dreaded eating each day. O'sheehan's' was a bit gross too. The spinach artichoke dip looked like jarred alfredo sauce with some spinach thrown in.
Nothing on the island is included. You must pay cash/credit card for food drinks. No wifi either.
