Vision of the Seas Cruise Review by Sconoley
- Sail Date: May 2018
- Destination: Western Mediterranean
- Cabin Type: Spacious Ocean View Balcony
The highlights of this cruise were the food, the dining service and the excursions. Our itinerary included the following excursions and tour companies:
Barcelona and Montserrat Tour- Barcelona Day Tours
Nice, Eze and St. Paul de Vence- Italy Tours.eu
Pisa and Florence- Italy Tours.eu
Rome in a Day- Italy Tours.eu
Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano (small group)- Royal Caribbean
Venice Gondola Ride- Royal Caribbean
Doge's Palace, St.Mark's Cathedral and the Glass Factory- Royal Caribbean
Bologna in Depth- Royal Caribbean
Grand Tour of Montenegro- Royal Caribbean
We had excellent tour guides. The small groups allowed for flexibility with the itinerary. No regrets with the choices.
The negatives of the cruise were few, very much outweighed by the positives. The cabins (including balconies) certainly reflected the age of the ship, the beds were not as comfortable as previous cruise experiences, and most of the entertainment was not good on this ship.
There was a very nice atmosphere on the ship...guests and staff became very close over the course of this 12 day cruise. The weather was warm throughout the cruise. Overall, it was a fantastic cruise experience.
