I was somewhat worried about booking this ship due to some of the negative reviews about how old, worn & rusty it was starting to look. I tend to be a person that scrutinizes everything, hence my concern. You just need to do your research and make an informative decision on your preferences. The reason we did book were due to the positive comments, price, destination & Vancouver Port leaving & return 35 minutes from home.

The Cabin:

We booked a concierge cabin ( some of the extra perks we appreciated, others we couldn't care less about). That being said we were so glad we did. Embarkation was a breeze due to the special concierge line. The main line had about 1000 people in it, even though we arrived early in the day we thought it would take forever, but then we were escorted to our line with our concierge waiting. He presented us with a concierge only invite to dine for lunch in the MDR. This was great as apparently the Oceanview Cafe is a nightmare on embarkation day. Concierge also receive a larger balcony cabin, some of the other small perks we didn't receive and like I mentioned we couldn't of cared less so didn't bother complaining. The room in general was a decent size (8055), was in a good location and no obstructed views. It did need updating, the red sofa was faded, not so pretty curtains, and the bathroom smelt a little musty, but overall it was exceptionally clean. I didn't mind any of this as I reviewed pics ahead of time and knew what to expect. Overall we loved our room. Read more
