We had cruised on Discovery 2 last year, its second cruise with Tui, after its refit, we loved the ship, the size, dining, the bars most things. We chose the eastern Mediterranean cruise, Koper, Venice etc, each location we thought was stunning, especially the arrival at Kotor.

Again the staff, cabin staff, restaurant staff, all of the staff were exceptional, the only criticism we had was some bar staff, have no idea who's next, and you can be waiting a while. We enjoyed the experience of dining in the 47 restaurant, Silvin, Paul and Julio brilliant, we felt that the entertainment in the theatre wasn't as good as last year, the content of the shows wasn't there, and the volume across the ship, in bars, round the pool during the afternoon was too loud for us, although you can find quiet areas.

We were unhappy, it was half term, with the two jacuzzis on the pool deck, these are the only two jacuzzis that bubble, and are in the open air, the whole week they were full of children, sometimes 10 children, we were unable to ever get in one!!!!! Very young children too, parents not bothered, 13 was the age to use a jacuzzi, with an adult , shall not cruise again during school holidays. Read more
