We have had a really top notch cruise from start to finish. We boarded the ship in Southampton and embarkation was smooth and quick. We were on board by 11:30 am and enjoying all the ship had to offer. Our cabin wasn't ready but that just gave us more time to explore the ship. The ship was lovely, all the public areas were clean and welcoming. When we did get to our cabin we found there to be plenty of storage space and it was clean and well appointed. Once we unpacked we went to have a couple of sailaway cocktails, we had the drinks package. We have sailed on other lines before with drinks packages, but we find that the NCL drinks package is the most inclusive with plenty to chose from. We then went for dinner in one of the MDRs. There was plenty of choice and the food was delicious. We also ate in the speciality restaurants and enjoyed the fayre there. We found them good value for money. There was plenty to do in the evening with entertainment at every venue, the musicians were good with a varied choice of songs to cater for all ages.

We chose this cruise for the itinerary and we were not disappointed. We had sailed this area before but it was our first time for Geiranger, Flam and Lerwick. The sail in to Geiranger and Flam was beautiful and we went on the Flam railway to Myrdal which was breath taking. We organised this independently and felt it was good value. All the information you need is online. There were some ports we had to tender but we found this no problem as we had priority tendering.

We were well looked after whilst on this cruise, all the staff made us feel special. We are early risers and found that our cabin was usually made up after we came back from breakfast. We were really impressed with our cabin steward. We are big fans of NCL and have sailed on their larger ships and their older ones and have found the standard of service to be consistantly high. In fact we enjoyed this cruise so much we have booked again for next year.
