We chose this 7 day cruise because we had been on the Queen Elizabeth and wanted to try the Queen Mary 2
The good:-
Very good or excellent entertainment shows in the evening.
cabin very small for 2 adults sharing. King size bed took up most of the space
Bathroom/Shower Room was tiny and you could not really wash properly in the tiny shower cubicle. It had a flimsy shower rail curtain that kept breaking off. The styling was 1960s and the appearance was very sad indeed.
Wardrobe space was adequate.
Bed was uncomfortable and could not sleep properly. Pillows gave no support either.
Styling was 1970s. Very drab for such an expensive cruise. Cunard need to do a make over of these cabins. Much better on other ships such as Royal Caribbean,.
Atmosphere I cabin very stuffy which air conditioning did not solve and my wife and I caught a chill from this.
There was no free drinking water. They left a 1 litre bottle of water in my room which they added $5 for on my bill.
Balcony disappointing, had flaky painting everywhere and mould in corners.
I would sum this up as Public opulence Private squalor.
After all who would want to return to such a cheap and nasty hovel in your tux with your lady in her finest clothes. Shame on you Cunard.
Very poor stop over. Souvenirs were sky high in price.
Not much to see.
