Norwegian Star Cruise Review by doliver1978
- Sail Date: June 2018
- Destination: Eastern Mediterranean
- Cabin Type: Obstructed Oceanview
In conclusion... Great holiday and not just for "old people" as NCL is freestyle, so shorts and t-shirts for dinner is fine!! Do what you like when you like!!! Venice airport lets down this cruise as it's the most disorganised place in Europe!!!
Shore Excurisons: Book them yourself direct with tour operators in the respective countries before your cruise! NCL charge a premium for excursions as you would expect!!
Cruising is an expensive holiday but worth it especially as all inclusive...!!

CorfuThe most boring place on the cruise and the cruise port is miles from anywhere useful and when walking out of the cruise port the wheelie bins from the houses and business stink!! Would rather just stay on the ship at this port. Not worth stopping at. First visit to Corfu on previous cruise took the Hop On Hop Off bus, waste of money... there is very little to look at on this stop.View All 652 Corfu Cruise Port Reviews

Cable CarNot long at this port of call so head straight through the walled city to the cable car. Amazing views from the top of Dubrovnik and the walled city. Look around the bombed buildings up at the top of the hill, that were destroyed as soon as 1991-1995 war! Wish there was longer in this port of call as it was the best of the week! Not everywhere accepted EURO though! And ATMS auotmatically let you take out 800KUNA which is over £100!!View All 42 Cable Car Reviews
KotorMontenegro is a destination I'd not thought of before, nothing too spectacular here. Nice architecture as most European countries, but nothing much to look at after the scenary by the cruise port.View All 707 Kotor Cruise Port Reviews

Island of DelosDidnt book anything with NCL for this port of call. Booked own trip to Delos at 20EUR for the return boat. Delos is fascinating and the Avenue of Lions is well worth the visit over to Delos. BE AWARE the cafe and sovenior shop on Delos is horrendously expensive... over 6EUR for a cold drink bottle 500ml!!!! But Delos itself is interesting -- go on walk up the hill to the top in that heat!!View All 87 Island of Delos Reviews
SantoriniThe view of the white houses with blue roofs looking down the cliff is it. There is nothing more to look at! The donkeys are kept in horrendous conditions... get the cable car up and walk down the cliff. The donkeys are unhappy, no water and shouldn't be used as they carry fat tourists up and down - why would you allow that to happen to an animal? Nothing of interest on this port of call.View All 987 Santorini Cruise Port Reviews
