Sail Date: May 2018

This was our second cruise with Thomson and the appeal was particularly to see St Petersburg .

Paid far too much by booking early and in fact, cancelled and rebooked about 12 weeks before departure and saved £500.

Booked an executive cabin which was impressive / had a few issues which should have been picked up before we boarded eg: dripping tap, damaged glass on balcony and light not working but these were resolved . Cabin stewards were excellent- special mention of Ferdinand !

Cabin Review

Cabin Executive

Very spacious- lots of storage .

Excellent bathroom with jacuzzi bath and separate shower.

Didn’t get the extra goodies supposedly included like room sprays and clarins toiletries were not replaced if used

Port Reviews

Oslo

Impressive city - filled with young people . Felt modern and traditional. Several homeless people visible on walk in to port.

Gothenburg

Very little to see of interest - a working port

Tallinn

Really pretty port , lots of local shops to explore and impressive buildings. Very long walk from ship to centre . Beware scam cycle rickshaws in centre square who charge exorbitant prices for return to port

Rostock (Warnemunde)

Really lovely tourist resort - lots of shops , cafes and boats to watch - great contrast to other cities on the itinerary- a real gem

Copenhagen

Long walk and no taxis near the ship . Managed to get one after walking to the little mermaid . Great city , lovely buildings , shops and restaurants. Really friendly people
