I recently arrived from a Princess Cruise Vacation. This was my first time sailing with Princess and I don't think I will ever go on another Princess ship again. Several things happened during my trip that compared to other cruises are unacceptable. First, I had stated it was my anniversary on the Princess website and upon arrival I see other cabin doors decorated (with Celebrate signs or Anniversary signs) but ours was not. Also, I had opted for champagne in our room. When we arrive, I see a note that states we have to call room service for the champagne (so it's not sitting out for too long). This was fine. I called for the champagne maybe over three times between that day and the next (not exaggerating) they never brought us our champagne. At the end, I told them I didn't even want it. I also complained about our room not being decorated and all they said is they could either decorate it now (a day after our anniversary) or bring chocolate covered strawberries. At that point I was somewhat over the whole thing so I told them to forget about it. But then other issues happened.
Upon showering, the water in our cabin was cold. I then went to the front desk to have someone check it out and they never came that night (I ended up showering with cold water). It was not till the next day (midday) that someone came and fixed our shower. To our amazement there are two knobs in the shower and they were originally switched that is why the knob could not turn all the way to produce hot water. I was in shock. Another thing, the remote in our room would not work. Flipping the batteries was the only way to get the channel changed. I had to call about this too.
At the end all these issues were addressed however these issues should not have even occurred. Complaining about all these issues cost me time from enjoying myself and frustration as many times it would take a day or so for the issues to be addressed.
