Sail Date: Jun 2018
Cabin: Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2B

We chose this ship because of the itinerary and because we were traveling with our adult children and grandchildren. We felt the dress code was appropriate for our older teens and young 20 somethings, and it worked out well. Although the ship is older, it was pretty well maintained and was clean. We had booked three balcony cabins and four inside rooms, all in the same area. The rooms were fine although we were disappointed to find that we could not open the panels between the balconies. We all had the same room steward, Ahmed, and he was terrific!

We ate in the buffet the first night and in the Dining Room the second night. All of us preferred the selections in the Dining Room. We had reservations two nights, but found the maitre'd was able to accomodate us pretty quickly if we went early on the nights we did not have reservations. Service was very good with few exceptions. ( One night the waitress for one table told the boys they could not order more than one entree. While the portions are perfect for us older folks, our young men are big eaters!)

We booked the Float Plane excursion off the ship in Ketikan, but the rest of the cruise, we privately booked vans for all 14 of us and it worked out well.

Good size shower.

Love seat rather than a bigger sofa.

Comfortable bed.

Plenty of storage.
