We just returned from the Havana cruise on Norwegian Sun. We loved this cruise. The ship is small...only 1900 passengers. We never had to wait in line for anything. The ship offered free alcoholic drinks and we didn't have to ever wait for a drink! You could get as many drinks a day as you want and you never have to show your card. The first port is Key West but only from 3:00-8:30... The next day is cruising and you get into Havana at 6:00 am. We chose to book our excursions through the ship. The morning tour was a bus tour through Old Havana....excellent. They drop you off right by th ship in Old Havana so we walked around...shopped a bit. We were able to buy our rum and cigars using American money. You can purchase them in the cruise terminal using US dollars for the exact same prices as the shops....very cheap. A bottle of Havana Club rum is $8 and Chiba cigars were $8-10 a piece. Our next tour was an $8:00 pm tour to the Tropicana...show actually starts at 10pm and over at midnight. This was awesome! The gave everyone a cigar and a bottle of rum per couple...or table of 4. The show was fantastic..our most favorite show ever! All in all I loved this cruise and we have been on many cruises through the years...I highly recommend!
