This is our third Viking River Cruise. We enjoyed the food and wine on this cruise. We also thought the captain and the cruise director were brilliant and fun. More importantly, the excursions were well organized with knowledgeable tour guides (particularly Leif).

Our only disappointment on this cruise was “the early bird” special mentality of the passengers. Guests rushed for the dining room frantically and grabbed the window tables. After say 2 hours, the waiters started to rush people out of the restaurant to clean up the dining room. On other cruises, we have had flexibility to tour a museum and arrive at dinner between 8 and 8:15 p.m. at a more leisurely pace. It was odd.

The cabins are tiny, but housekeeping was excellent. Indeed, the housekeepers work from morning to evening and supplies are attentively replenished daily.
