Sail Date: Apr 2018
Cabin: Balcony

We chose this cruise because of the proximity to our home, We could drive, and the date of sail met our needs. We were skeptical after seeing reports on national news about flooding on upper floors due to a broken pipe. No need to worry, the ship was in great shape! We, my wife. daughter and I, shared a room with a balcony, but we had plenty of space and enjoyed the view sitting in our private area. If you don't like people or crowds, don't sail on Carnival! The ship was full of passengers, but never overbearing, just plan ahead for what you want to do. If you want to have fun take this ship! The cruise director is fully engaged, and we enjoyed everything that was available, there was plenty to do all the time.. I had intended to try the Alternative dining restaurants, but the food offerings in the Main dining room were so good I never left; every dish was well cooked and presented; this was the best of any cruise I have taken. Service was great by the staff, friendly and attentive. The other eateries were very good too! Guy's burgers, the pizzeria, the deli, etc., are all good. We did not get to sample all that was available. We still found quiet spots on the ship for alone time. The excursions were good, we enjoyed the Dolphin swim and Stingray city in Grand Cayman, and horseback riding in Montego Bay. Cozumel we made our way around the island with a cab. We scheduled excursions on the ship and were comfortable moving about on the main streets. We would take this cruise again, and hope other Carnival ships are this good. .. . .

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin had a sofa that made into the third bed. Space was good and we were able to move about with not problems. The storage closets held all our clothes and gear, which left the room neat after all were dressed. The shower worked well with the detachable head; the room had good space to dress in.

Port Reviews

New Orleans

New Orleans is a great town for having fun, everything is close by. We drove and strayed with friends before embarkation. This is a great place to visit, lots to do and see.

Cozumel

Cozumel is loaded with places to shop and eat at the port. Transportation is readily available to take you further out on the island. We went a beach about 12 miles from the port, it had everything avaiable for rent that you need, and nice facilites to change and eat. Prices are competitive, a nice place to go if you like the water or sitting on the beach.
