We enjoyed the excursions on this cruise, but the ship travel was crowded and noisy. Food was average. Cabin was OK, but our room attendant was excellent. We have done lots of traveling and have avoided cruises because we love to get away from the crowds as much as possible. We avoid cities and noisy “entertainment” type vacations. Mountains are our favorite destinations; thus, cruising is basically only an option in Alaska, Norway, Patagonia, or New Zealand. Alaska is by far the best option of all of these destinations. Yes, we know that Hawaii, Mediterranean coasts, and some of the Caribbean islands have mountains, but we prefer cool weather sites that have fir and spruce forests.

If we ever go on another cruise, it will be one with the smallest vessel available. We cannot imagine being on a ship with 4000-5000 people (including passengers and crew). How depressing!

Embarkation and disembarkation went very well. The ship’s staff were very helpful answering questions and giving suggestions regarding making contacts with the excursion groups that were not booked through the cruise line.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

Balcony cabin was comfortable, but noisy. Had to download a background fan noise to assist sleeping.
