Overall, it was an experience. I thought food was bland. Did not enjoy buffet experience. Minimal opportunities for late night food. Smoke from casino could be experienced throughout that side of the ship- may want to close the doors or improve ventilation. Cabin had leftovers from previous cruise (duffel bag and condom wrapper). DENISE our steward was amazing. (Best service given by her-she was creative in finding solutions and offered to be of any assistance).
While snorkeling on the private island, I became sick and visited the first aid station. No one helped when i was sick in the water and a fellow passenger was the 1st to offer assistance, not a staff person. I was taken to the first aid station where I was very disappointed to learn it would cost 200 dollars to see a doctor who would probably only confirm what I knew, I had a virus. I felt judged as people thought I was a messy drunk, I don't drink. The air conditioned environment and wheelchair ride to the tether boat was helpful. When family and friends heard of our trip and our experience they were surprised that we were on the Norwegian Cruise Line as they had a better reputation for customer service.
