A great cruise overall. My time dining gets confusing. Stick to an assigned seating time. We usually ended up having dinner when we wanted to be somewhere else!
Ship was clean, crew helpful, food good. Streamlined menu which is good.
Our Jr Suite was much larger than anticipated, we had a walk-in closet! Plenty of room for 3 adults. The pullout sofa is NOT designed for an adult's comfort, but was fine once a rollaway mattress was added each night. Clever was a truly outstanding room steward.
Our cabin was extremely NOISY. Beware, do NOT book a cabin under the overhanging section of the ship. Look closely before choosing a cabin. I did not sleep at all the first night before we were supplied with ear plugs, yes really! They helped but did not alleviate the sound of a :"train" overhead at 0200 hrs; they seemed to be cleaning at that time or moving the towel carts all over the place!
We rented bikes right next to the ship and cycled to the tip of the peninsula then walked the beach to where the North and Baltic Seas meet. It was raining and cold, but still fun.
Beautiful city, easy to get around on your own.
Wonderful historical city. A friend's husband who is from there met us and gave us our personal guided tour. We had an amazing lunch! Allen had reservations for us at the only upstairs table with a window. We were looking over the 12th century town square. We learned here that a full day walking on cobblestone is a bit rough on the feet, even in good shoes!
We rode the Hop On/Hop Off bus which turned out to be a horrible experience. The audio wasn't working we sat along a curb while several other busses passed us by. The Wifi did not work. It was OK once we were able to get off, walk, and then catch a different bus. There wasn't much to see in Helsinki outside of the market; no reason to get off the bus. It was overpriced.
Gorgeous city and our weather was 75 F in May, unheard of! We met a friend here who walked us around and we took a canal cruise. Easy to navigate city.
