Contrary to other reviews regarding this ship; my husband and I travelled on board from the 15th -22nd January 2010. We we arrived we were advised that there had been a problem on board with regards to a virus. All steps were taken by the crew to avoid this virus spreading among the passengers. The crew were amazing and did everything they could look after the passengers. Yes! the cabin was very basic, however we only had to sleep in it and fortunately not have to spend day after day in it due to the virus. The food was very adequate and there was a good choice. It was served by the waiters which I considered to be a good thing in respect of the problem on board. The al la-carte restuarant was really nice and the food was excellent. The waiters were brilliant!!!! The entertainment was really good and the entertainments team did everything they could to make sure that everyone had a good time. The ships captain was a really nice genuine man and enjoyed the pool deck party with all the passengers. I can honestly say that although the ship is old and in need of refurbishment, that it has a lovely character and along with the good weather that we experienced for the time of the year we had a really good relaxing holiday. There will always be people out there who will continue to moan and groan but if they want a posh expensive ship then they will have to pay posh expensive money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
