I choose it for the dates and the price as I wanted to see Alaska. There were too many people on this cruise that were not handled efficiently.. The food was nothing special. The one day that they did have crab legs, they were served at the buffet and generated long, long lines and few seats. There were long lines for everything. All of the shows were listed as sold out as people made reservations in advance. However, I found out later that most of these people didn't show up at the shows and there were many seats available. It seemed that all aspects of the cruise created a sense of scarcity the made it necessary too stand in longs lines in order to not miss out instead of just enjoying the cruise.

The excursions were booked to capacity and were frequently sold out. When I was able to obtain a train ride, It was very crowded, hot, stuffy and very uncomfortable. In every stop we had, there between four to six other cruise ships in the same port at the same time making the entire town too crowded to enjoy.

The observation deck was very nice but it was very difficult to get a seat, especially a lounger. Several people would get there early and save several seats for many people for the entire day. However, even though the seats had something on them, there were not people using them. None of the staff policed this.
