We have a core group of friends that travel together. A friend was looking for somewhere for us to go and came across this trip. An e-mail was sent out to everyone asking who was interested. There was an overwhelming yes response. We had a group of 20 that went on the cruise. The first day was spent touring Budapest. I don't know what I expected to see but the two parts of the metropolis were differently beautiful. Budapest now ranks as the most memorable place we have ever visited. The architecture was awe inspiring. The check in, upon arrival, went smoothly. Our stateroom was well equipped and clean. The veranda provided a wonderful view of the landscape as we sailed. The Viking Prestige is a beautiful vessel. Sleek and very quiet when underway. The top deck, library, lounge and dining halls are easily accessible. It proved to be a great way to travel. The days are spent admiring the countryside, or taking one of the included tours. There were no hassles or worrying about travel in a foreign place. We were escorted by an English speaking guide and transported by a very comfortable bus. The guides gave a wonderful architectural and historical perspective of what we were seeing. The meals were the best part. We were given a choice of a regional specialty from each region we traveled through. The captain and crew along with the service staff, made the trip a true joy. We can'y wait to go somewhere else with Viking.
Comfortable, clean, well equipped.
