We just returned from Norway fjord cruise on HAL Koningsdam. We cruised a few times before; we usually book inside cabin as we don’t spend a lot of time staying in the room. The room itself has a lot of storage space, drawers and hangers. Bathroom design is contemporary, toilet and sink area are cramped but shower space is good size. Overall, it’s a good inside stateroom compared to NCL Epic.
There is good selection of buffet at Lido market; however, it’s mostly the same food every day. Pizza and burger at the pool area restaurants are good. We expect dinner at the dining room be excellent, but it was just ok. Wine waiter was a little snobbish when we did not order drinks.
Entertainment on the World Stage: Planet Earth II In Concert was excellent. The song and dance entertainment shows were corny and cabaret like, not our cup of tea.
Cabin Review
Standard Interior Stateroom
We were at 5144 Gershwin. This cabin location does not have much foot traffic and was pretty quiet. Buffet Lido market is at deck 9, dining room and Plaza deck are on deck 2 &3 , we are located in between two main area, it’s easy to just walk up or down instead of waiting for elevator.
