This was our first cruise with Celebrity. We are diamond members with RCL and wanted to try out Celebrity. We found the dining to be a step up from RCL with no need to dine at specialty restaurants. I was delighted to see lobster on the menu which RCL has eliminated. The service was excellent throughout the ship with a special thank you to Bar management for their personalized help in arranging a private event. Entertainment was awesome. Room attendants were very attentive and kept our cabin immaculate. The public spaces on the ship were spotless and looked very up to date specifically the rest rooms. Embarkation was not that smooth due to the port in Dublin but I hear it has improved significantly and I trust it will continue to improve. The same with disembarkation. It could use some refining regarding private taxis picking up passengers. We loved the itinerary that included Ireland, Iceland, and the Shetland islands. Customer service was a priority throughout the ship. The Eclipse is a beautiful ship. We need the behind the scenes tour and really enjoyed it especially the bridge. In the future we will likely cruise on Celebrity or RCL. Celebrity was a bit more expensive but we need get a lot of perks such as on board credit and the dink package which is a huge savings. All of our pre cruise and post cruise conversations with Celebrity were very helpful and staff did aim to please.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 1B

Cabin 1B

The cabin was a decent size but we found the storage/closet space to be a bit lacking compared to other cruise ships. Everything looked nice and new and clean in the cabin. We miss the junior suite option that RCL has available which is a bit bigger than the veranda balcony on Celebrity.
