Sail Date: May 2018

What an amazing trip through the Baltic countries. We started in Bergen with gorgeous blue skies and warm weather. Arriving to the ship on sail day was a bit edgy. Our flights were cancelled due to plane mechanical trouble so we were rerouted and got to Bergen on Sunday morning. We were greeted by the Viking staff with champagne and a warm welcome. Off to our room, and within minutes, our luggage was delivered and unpacked. We then headed out to explore the ship, although we were on the Viking Star two previous cruises, we found everything alike.

We were truly blessed with great sunny weather just about every day. Our morning to Tallinn and our arrival in St. Petersburg greeted us with some liquid sunshine, but it was short lived. We did the included excursions except for in Eidfjord where we rode the Flam railway. Quite the adventure in the mountains with amazing waterfalls. We also did the Berlin train and guided tour. Thoroughly enjoyed it. In St. Petersburg’s we booked independently with TJ Tours. They didn’t disappoint at all. The first night included a visit to the ballet..Wow!

The staff on this ship is wonderful. Everyone had a smile of their face and greeted us when we passed by. Our cruise director Aaron performed one night with his amazing singing talent. After our excursions we would stop at the first floor bar and they always knew our drink. We ate in all the dining venues and enjoyed all our meals.

Cabin Review

Cabin PV2

Since we travel light with just carryons, we had tons of room. Absolutely no noises from any other cabins.

Port Reviews

Eidfjord

Road the Flam train which was amazing.
