The promotional price was good and Viking always gives great service. However, the included flights to and from France were fraught with delays and cancellations. The travel was the only downer to the trip. We had asked for consideration in assigning seats due to a medical condition and we were told that it was not possible on the return leg of the trip. This was very disappointing. The cabin was adequate and conveniently located; the room service was excellent. The dining experience was great as usual and so was the entertainment. Wait staff and chef did an excellent job. Brenton, our tour director also did an excellent job and was very efficient and concerned for everyone's welfare. The included shore excursions as well as the optional excursions were very good. There were no children on this cruise. We hope to make Viking Ocean our next cruise; however, we are sure more river cruises will be on our bucket list, too!
