We thoroughly enjoyed the pre-cruise extension of 4 days in Paris. Then sailing along the Mosel river was beautiful with the many vineyards. This cruise also included the Rhine river which has more river traffic than the Mosel but also has the beautiful scenery of many castles. Unlike another Viking River Cruise that we had taken a couple years ago, this cruise was had a much older demographic of passengers (average age was 70+) and some had very limited mobility. There were several with severe health issues and I questioned why they would even attempt this type of trip. Because of this, we felt that the shore excursions were a little too slow paced for us (we are 60 and very active). Viking service and staff are top notch and the boat was only 1 year old so very, very nice. I would have liked to have more entertainment offered in the evenings after dinner. Overall very good cruise but will look for something more active for our next trip.
