It was a great cruise with Royal. We have been on the Allure once before. The only things we can complain about was the lack of pool attendants. We witnessed lounge chairs around the pool "taken" with just a towel for three hours with no one actually using the chair. The "no saving of lounge chairs" was not enforced in the slightest. We only saw the cruise director once. We've always had great cruise directors who interacted with guests during the entire time. He was MIA on this cruise. His staff was energetic but they didn't have a great command of the English language. They were understandable, but their jokes didn't always come out right.
The dining rooms and food overall were excellent as well as the staff. The stop in San Juan was extremely short. We had to be back on the ship at 1:30 pm which didn't give you much time to do anything. We were told it was due to the distance from Labadee and the time it takes to get there from San Juan. Labadee is nice but I would prefer more time in San Juan and an alternate port after San Juan.
The cabin was excellent. It was clean and very well maintained.
There are several things to do but we chose to just enjoy the beach. The zip line looks like fun but expensive at $130 for only one drop.
We did San Felipe del Morro on our own. It took about 1.5 hours to see the entire place. Fantastic views!!
