SAPPHIRE PRINCESS REVIEW

We arrived in LA a day ahead and spent the day/evening at the Sheraton Gateway (excellent) and used a shuttle ($3) to get to Manhatten Beach. This shuttle will also get you to a couple of shopping malls if you need provisions for the ship. The shuttle stops at a few other hotels near the airport. We lunched at a little Mexican restaurant just up from the pier and on the first cross street (turn left when looking up the hill), don't remember the name but huge portions of good food for cheap. There is a grocery store directly up fro the pier (Von's) if you need soda and such.

We used the Princess transfer to the ship the next day (met at the Delta arrival terminal) - make sure that you print out your transfer docs - they didn't have our name on the list so I had to produce the proof.
