we chose this cruise as it was visiting naples and we wished to see herculaneum.

our first impressions were that the room was slightly bigger than an equivalent one on discovery one (which we sailed on last year). the ship appears fine with the usual layout, dining was excellent as you'd expect on any cruise ship, in this case generally catering for british tastes (although there are more adventurous restaurants on board at a surcharge).

service was excellent, at dinner, at the 'squid & anchor' bar, and during the daytime whilst sunbathing too.
