We booked our cruise a year in advance, so needless to say, I had plenty of time to explore Seattle online. I contacted the Chamber or commerce and asked for brochures, magazines, advertisements, etc... I wanted to know where to go, how to get around and the best places to eat. When I arrived, I felt like I already knew the city. We purchased the City Pass and within 48 hours, got to see so much of the sights. I would definitely recommend getting them.
We were on the very first Alaskan sailing of the Bliss (June 2 - 9, 2018). The ship was so large. It took me almost the full week to know how to get around. But as time went on, I explored as much as I could and found some fantastic spots for viewing that weren't crowded.
Our cabin was 10758. It was nice and quiet. With as many stateroom this ship had, I honestly expected to cross more people in the halls by their rooms, but it was just the opposite. I hardly saw anyone in the halls. Everyone one was out and about in the center of the ship where all the activities were.
Room was very nice. Bed was comfortable, but the pull down bed and sofa bed was very hard. I liked that my luggage fit under my bed. And I also liked the USB ports on the overhead lights. The bathroom was fantastic! Nice size... I wish it had an electrical outlet in there.
Purchased the City Pass and had a fantastic two days prior to boarding our ship.
Got to see the Aquarium, Argosy Cruises, Space Needle, Science Center, and MoPop museum.
We were going to meet up with some friends, but our plans fell through. Instead we took the day to walk all around the town, see the sights, and do some shopping.
Once off the ship, we had to pay to have us shuttled into town. It was about 13.00 per person.
Since our ship arrived at 4:00 PM and we were only there for a few hours, a lot of the shops were closed by the time we got there. It was also raining so we really didn't get a chance to see much. I was told to visit the gardens but we didn't make it there. Maybe next time.
