I had been asked by a group of friends to go on an Alaskan Cruise with them and I must say that I was apprehensive. As a seasoned traveler, I had always thought that I would not like to relinquish my "freedom" to a ship and a structured itinerary but I agreed and convinced my sister to be my roommate. Was I pleasantly surprised!!! The Pearl was awesome!! Getting on the ship was effortless with such pleasant representatives everywhere! The ship was very well maintained with so very many amenities! The ports that we stopped were so much fun and the Glacier Bay tour was breathtaking!!! Leaving the ship was a breeze and Norwegian even collected and checked our luggage at the Seattle airport for our return flight home!! We will definitely be traveling again with Norwegian and with our traveling friends!! We even purchased deposits for future trips!! Kudos to Norwegian!!!

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

Our cabin steward, "Joe", meet us as we walked down the hall to find our room. After introducing himself, he opened the cabin door and we entered our home away from home! We were very pleased that our cabin was very well layed out with plenty of room for our stuff! Joe took such good care of us and he remembered our names after our first meet!! Definitely glad we went for a balcony room as we were out there enjoying the scenery much of the time.

Port Reviews

Glacier Bay

This was so awesome as we got to sit/stand on our balcony with binoculars and spirts and enjoy the spectacular scenery! Only wish it had been a clear day with blue skies...maybe next time!!

Ketchikan

We definitely enjoyed walking around this awesome town! Made some great purchases and truly enjoyed the people in town! We shopped in stores with local artists' products and ate/drank with the locals!! A must go is the "Arctic Bar"!! Tell "Paula" that "Tommy John from Louisiana and his crew said Hi!! "

Victoria

Such a beautiful city! We took the bus (round trip $13) and it ran every 10 minutes. Walked the area and went in so many shops and quaint establishments! Could definitely spend lots of time in this town!
