As NCL latitude members, we were excited they launched this new ship to Alaska. This was a chance to check off two big bucket lists. The ship is amazing. There are definitely many people on board, but with all the different layouts you can always find a corner to relax.
Highlights:
-The large enclosed viewing area was a good place to see the scenery pass by. We spotted whales from there! Be advised, good seats fill up fast, but there is a bar and some snack foods to enjoy.
This was nice sized room, smaller than I remember from the Breakaway or Jade. This category is perfect with an enlarged balcony. Be aware, the room is right above the District Brewhouse bar, so every night, we could hear music and bass coming up from below for three hours. Given the choice, avoid this specific room, as the noise is unpleasant. We got an upgrade to this room and are night owls so by the end of the week, we simply joined the fun downstairs.
We stayed in Seattle for 3 days after the cruise. So much to see and do there. Walked to Pike Place Market, took a ferry to Vashon Island and rented a car to drive to Mt. Rainier. It was great!
This port is best for an excursion. Get out of town! Check the box on Juneau, Alaska, but go out from there. You'll be glad you did.
This is a great example of what you would expect for an Alaska town. Just walk around and enjoy!
It was Canada, so that was neat, but it was a cold and rainy day. Perhaps a sunnier day would be nice. The parks here are neat, but weather impacted our trip.
