We were very disappointed in our Silver Sea experience as were a lot to the people on board the new Silver Muse. The food was OK is you could get into a one of the dining areas. There is no main dining area so each meal you must make a reservation for the dining experience... this is an extremely tough experience if you are a first time guest on the Muse because all of the good reservations and dining areas are taken up by the long time customers. There were many times all we could get was dining by the pool with very limited menu and plastic wine glasses. The food is so-so nothing exceptional in any of the dining areas ... nothing like Crystal or Regent. The staff was somewhat helpful in our efforts to get something to eat on the ship.... Our butler was exceptional and was extremely helpful but he too could not fight the computer system on the boat. The boat was very rough in relatively clam seas meaning it did not have stable control or it was just not working. The seas were so rough we could not dance in the lounge... and we were not the only one.
Shore excursions were good and the guides were pretty knowledgeable on the subject... but we used private guides , not arranged by the ship line, in most of the bigger ports and that worked quite well.
All in All...... Save you money and go on Crystal and have a much better experience.
Cabins were excellent... They were roomy and had lot of room for storage... large closet and the bed was very comfortable. The room temperature was good ... bathroom was large and well appointed. The butler service was very good as well as the maid service.
This was a great place to walk
