Ship wasn’t as fancy as some we have seen online. Food was average. Buffet was disappointing, as they ran out of items quite often and we had to wait or were sent to the other side. Room was clean. Balcony was nice, except railing is directly at eye level. Staff was excellent, polite and helpful though! Entertainment was pretty good. First cruise ever so we were surprised at the long lines, but will say they seem to have all of that down to a science. Disembarkment was a bit confusing. Excursions were so so. Some real good, others disappointing. Train ride is awesome. Glacier Bay is amazing. Mendehall Glacier was great. Lumberjack show is for kids. Rainforest excursion is a waste of money. They tell you of jewelry stores to visit. We visited Diamond International and Tanzanite International. The people were very pushy and then rude when we didn’t purchase right away. Julie’s Fine Jewelry was amazing, helpful and I would totally recommend going there. All in all we had a great time seeing Alaska, it we won’t sail on Ruby again.
Stateroom was okay, not sure if it was B1 or not. They need either need higher chairs on the balcony or change the railing height. While sitting in the chair the rail is directly eye level. Had to ask for more hangers. Room was just a tad small, but clean
Beautiful scenery
Didn’t go to town, pouring rain. But would have rather stayed in Ketchikan and skipped Victoria
