We were very excited about our first Alaskan cruise as a family. I thought after coming out of dry dock, the ship would be in much better shape. The crew did perform a good bit of maintenance while we were on board; however the musty smell near the elevators was hard to miss. There were water stains down the walls as well as water dripping from light fixtures. The embarkation and disembarkation were a smooth process and I commend them on how well it went. The food selections were what you would expect on a cruise so no surprise there. Our cabin steward Sudi, was amazing, always greeted us by name, and took great care with our rooms. The smell of something similar to sulfer was quite overwhelming at times on the ship. Given the opportunity to book this cruise again, I certainly wouldn't select the Golden Princess. She's definitely ready to be retired.
