The Bliss is a new ship from Norwegian. We wanted to cruise through the Panama Canal from Florida to Los Angeles. The ship is huge and impressive. We had a balcony stateroom near the front of the ship which was convenient for going everywhere. Overall we had a nice time, the biggest criticism is the lack of activities planned for sea days. If we loved the pool or sun, I guess we would have been happier. The movies were old that they showed. They needed more to do.

The food was very good but many times too exotic for my tastes. They had many extra restaurants onboard which charged. We only ate in one, and many nights we just ate upstairs in the cafe. Service was very good when we did eat in ship dining rooms.

The excursions were typical for cruise ships. We were very lucky on one. We went to Antigua in Guatemala. We were on a bus quite near the Fuego Volcano. If it had been a couple of weeks later, I don't know what would have happened. We saw all the villages underneath the volcano. I now wonder how those poor people made out.
