We have 12 Carnival cruises with many of their new ships, so looked forward to Dream. But we were saddened by the overcrowding of nearly 4000 passengers. There were 2700 past guests onboard. Carnival did not handle this as well as they could and as a result, we cannot say it was an excellent cruise, but only a good one. The ship is magnificent but the crowding detracted from every aspect of the cruise. We did notice an occasional smell of sewage but could not say it was offensive, only most unusual for any cruise ship, especially one so new.

Our cabin was on deck 7 with a balcony and was what we expected from past Carnival cruises. The cabin service was excellent.

Over all we had a very good time but with better management it would have been excellent. We are Platinum status with Carnival and their handling of us both entering and departing the ship was very good. Only the past guest party was a let down.
