This was our first RC cruise but have cruised previously on other ships. We were so exited about this ship. However it was the worst cruise and vacation we have ever been on. The food was horrible at EVERY venue. And mind you we are not picky eaters. The steak was spongy, chicken raw. At the buffet the food looked and tasted like it had been sitting out for days and reheated. Main dining took forever to get food the first night and it was horrible. The main dining menu pretty much stayed the same with the exception of one or time items. We complained to the wait staff and asked if there were any other restaurant we were missing to just get some decent, edible food. We even tried room service one time which is NOT free. They charge a $7.95 room delivery fee PLUS 18% gratuity and it was still horrible. We had a pasta station one night in the buffet and were in line for food as the kitchen staff brought out dirty pans for the staff to cook the pasta in right in front of us. And the staff, they were very unhelpful and acted like they couldn't wait to get off the ship too. According to the staff the ship was at full capacity and you definitely felt it with the long lines for everything. The drink packages are so expensive and the drink machines are spotty at best. There are two located on 5th deck by pizza and one of them was done the entire week! One in the arcaded stayed empty of the most popular drinks and the ones in windjammer are almost always out of ice. You can ask at the bars for coke, diet coke and sprite but they act like it is an insult to full up your cup there. The cabins were expected size but the beds were extremely uncomfortable. Oh, and they do clean your balcony one while your on board and they must use bleach because my hubby was on the balcony and some dripped down from the upper deck and bleached out spots on his jeans! Lines for everything on board were super long! Make sure you read your cruise compass very carefully for instruction as ship announcements are not made on port days when it comes to getting off the ship. And also be careful with times for actives as there were a few mistakes on our cruise compass on times as well. Elevators are super slow and everyone tries to cram in at the same time - your better off taking the staff (really nothing RC can control on this). Its said when you spend sooo much money for a vacation and it is a horrible experience. I reached out to Royal today as we just got off the ship yesterday but was basically told "sorry, should have complained more on board the ship" Really I should have waited in line for hours while already tired and hungry?? I would not recommend a RC ship to anyone at this point which is really said considering they have such a large fleet.

Ocean View Balcony

Cabin 7D

We had two adjoining rooms and they were small as to be expected on ships but honestly way less storage then expected. Toward the end of the night there was a sewer smell that came from the toilet in 8282. Unobstructed views from balconies though.
