Flew from Newark, New Jersey to Seattle, Washington, in order to take this 7 day cruise to the inner passage of Alaska. Enjoyed a day and a half in Seattle before embarkation.

I have to confess that my wife and I are not big cruise people. I would rather get to a destination as quickly as possible and spend my time exploring the sights of the city or village, rather than stare at open ocean water. Large ships can get very small when they are crowded with a few thousand people, especially when the cruise is for an extended period.

Alaska, however, is different. It has to be seen by ship or plane. I have also gotten older and my energy for walking and jamming activities together has made me appreciate the convenience of cruising. Always having a bed and bathroom nearby is a good thing now.

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Cabin K

Not certain of the actual number but it was 4th deck interior. Cabin was about what I expected, more comfortable than I anticipated. Cabin service was excellent. Room was always clean, bed made, and towels changed. Nice selection of current movies on television. Not having a window was a minus, but that is why the interior rooms make it more affordable to travel
