I picked this cruise itinerary because I’ve been on 3 other NCL Cruises and I wanted a different itinerary leaving out of NY. Overall, my friend and I were very pleased. I have to say the food was good and plentiful. I like the fact that they had 5 complimentary dining areas. We did go to the Teppanyaki Restaurant and paid a coverage charge. The food was good, as well as the entertainment from our Chef. I have to say the NCL staff were very friendly and accommodating. You pass a staff in the hall, and there was always a smile and a hello. The entertainment was excellent. They had 2 really great bands, and one pianist who sounded like Frank Sinantra. The entertainment crew were exactly that, entertaining and funny. The only issue we had was closing our safe. You follow the directions, but it would take about 10 times before we actually got it closed. Also, we didn’t find the shore excursion guy very friendly. Normally, we’d go up to a desk and ask for something and right away we’d be greeted by a smile and a hello, how can I help you, but not the excursion guy. Maybe he needs more training on friendliness. Lol. Most of the excursios we went on were good except we weren’t crazy about the “Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour” in Halifax, because you have to wait 30 minutes or longer for the next arriving bus to come, and the Lobster Bake which was part of the Arcadia National Park Tour. The Oark Tour was great, it’s the Lobster Bake lunch which we weren’t impressed with, and that cost us $99. For me, I didn’t see much meat on my lobster, and got more with a lobster roll on our Portland excursion for less money. All in all, it was a great and enjoyable cruise. Thank you NCL.
Very clean and accommodating to extra towels when needed.
