We chose this cruise because we did not want a large ship, wanted more intimate dining and off shore excursions. We have been on large cruise ships before and did not enjoy the crowds. The dining and happy hours were enjoyable . The entertainment was very relaxing. Breakfast buffets were always outstanding. We liked the different wine choices every night for dinner. The service on board the ship was excellent, exceeded our expectations. Cruise director went out of his way to make everyone's experience great! Staff was always pleasant and helpful. Tour guides were the best of the best! The excursions were made for all levels of difficulty for walking. From the 1st moment on the ship it was very relaxing. Liked ghat there were lots of different excursions to chose from along the way. We loved every minute of every day, can't wait to travel on Avalon again. We hope to travel next year with Avalon down the Rhine.
